I've had my technique for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that employing better quality batteries than those supplied will mean changing them closer to as soon as a year. Not bad at all, given that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. Instead, I got a couple additional motion detectors to deliver total coverage of my home. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I have not had any false alarms exactly where I couldn't figure out the result in. There have been a few days where I forgot to disengage the process and walked ideal by way of the motion detection field. Of course, I can't blame that on the process.
General, I'd say this is an stunning technique for the cost. The manage pad looks kinda cost-effective, so I didn't prominently display it in my residence. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are rather tiny and unobtrusive. I've told family and pals that I have the alarm program and most of them did not have any idea, as the detectors blend in extremely nicely.

Hi everybody, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine 2 days ago. I set it up yesterday. Since the method comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only thing i had to adjust was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been sufficient for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Considering that i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it's great. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing about with but they're operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode mainly because the siren is quite loud, my ears had been ringing all night following i had tested it. But i have good comfort realizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i am in danger. It's so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am quite pleased with the method. I am told this a newer model, i'm not fairly certain how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anyone could tell me the difference that would be excellent. All in all i'm extremely pleased with the program and i'm giving it 4 stars because of how sharp the motion sensor is and since the siren is exceptionally loud. I sleep properly at night....particularly well.
