Years ago, somewhere I purchased a smoke detector with a built-in light (like this, in concept). While (thankfully) we've by no means required to rely on it, I liked that it was there, so when we required to add a new detector, I looked for anything related. The older detector has a quite bright light when I test it, and I was expecting something related when I ordered this 1 (the SA304CN3). Well, this one's light is rather modest by comparison and did not appear terribly brilliant for the duration of testing.
Like anyone buying for such an item, I attempt to think about attainable scenarios. With no smoke, in a pitch black residence, it would help, specifically if the power is out. Have had now for a year or so. Placed two of these near the stairs(upstairs and basement) in my property to support light the way out in a fire.
